Mike and Larissa

Mike and Larissa got married the last Saturday of August; the last of three wedding weekends in a row for me, and such a gorgeous one to end on. It rained on and off throughout the morning, which put a bit of a damper on things, but everything worked out in the end, as they tend to always do. All of Larissa's details were gorgeous, and her family and the bridal party were such fun people to spend the day with.

This was another of the weddings that I second shot for Larissa, and it worked out perfectly that there were two of us there. When we arrived at the house the rain was taking a break, so we headed outside to do as many detail shots as we could. And then the rain started up again while the girls were getting ready, and continued throughout the first look and some of the portraits. (This resulted in part of my job being balancing umbrella's over mine and Larissa's heads to keep our camera's dry as we stood in the rain. Fun stuff.) The rain let up again in the afternoon, and we walked around downtown Howell for a few pictures, before heading to the church as the rain started pouring down. All in all, though? Everything worked out, and the wedding was as gorgeous as ever. Head over to Larissa's blog post to see everything that she captured through her lens.

One of the bonuses of having rain the morning of the wedding day, in addition to the perfect lighting? All of the gorgeously green grass that results from it! I was in my glory taking detail pictures! (Even more so than usual!)

When I came back inside to where the girls were getting ready, the bridesmaid's were being convinced to sing the song they had written and performed at the bachelorette party the night before. They had modified the lyrics George Strait's "Write This Down." There was not a dry eye in the room by the time they were done.

To Mike and Larissa, Thank You for letting me be a part of your day, and Congrats again! I wish you both the best!

To Larissa, as usual, thanks for letting me tag along!

And to everyone else, enjoy the holiday and whatever time off you have this weekend!
