As most of you know, I took this past summer off of wedding photos. And I loved having the break, and the chance at a summer of adventure instead. But I really missed wedding days. So when I started receiving requests for wedding photos this summer, I realized that yes, I want back in. I've only booked a few, but not gonna lie, it makes me nervous to go back after taking a year off. Which is why I was so thankful when Kirsten asked if I would be willing to second shoot a wedding with her.
It's always so fun to second shoot, to have the chance to see how another photographer operates, and to just spend the wedding day taking pictures without having the pressure of being the main shooter. This is also the first winter wedding that I've ever photographed, and it really couldn't have been a more perfect day. It was one of those rare sunny winter days in the Yoop, with fresh fallen snow from the day before. And the dresses, and the suitcoats, and the red roses, the fur, the sunlight... It was all so beautiful. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
Congratulations Mark and Abbie! And thanks again Kirsten, for letting me tag along!
