Justin and Maryn

Justin and Maryn got married on a ridiculously hot day at the end of June. Spring and summer weddings in lower Michigan are always so different, and it's hard to know when the good weather is going to hit. By the end of June it was definitely here.

But Maryn was one of the most relaxed brides I have EVER worked with. She was all ready in her dress before schedule, hair done and everything, while Justin was outside shooting hoops in the pool with his groomsmen. We were all telling her we could have him start getting ready, but she was so relaxed, saying he may as well enjoy the comfort, since we had plenty of time built in for photos and they likely would go quicker than planned anyway, as nobody would want to stay out in the heat and humidity. At one point while we were visiting in the living room, Maryn's sister Morgan jokingly asked if anyone wanted to play a game of Catan. Maryn was all in!

But, if you know Maryn, you know this is so her. She has one of the absolute sweetest souls, and is constantly looking out for those around her. She has no idea how beautiful she is, and I know she's going to blush at my praise here, but she's one of my favorite people, and I am so , SO thankful for her friendship. Justin, you are such a lucky man.

The pool was a saving grace for many. There were cousins in and out of it all day long, and even the groomsmen spent a good chunk of the morning in it.

Maryn and Brenna were both bridesmaids at James and Katy's wedding a few summers ago, and had done a mock first look then, so naturally, they had to recreate it here.

And then it was time for the real first look. Being that this day was so insanely hot, and Justin and Maryn wanted to do the first look in the corner of the yard, out of view of everyone else, we had some vehicles drive down with the air conditioning cranked. We would have all been dripping by the time we got down, had we not!

Poor Justin was sweating through his suit in the short time we stayed out to take portraits, but they did great!

We kept the rest of the outdoor pictures short and sweet, ducking back into the air conditioning between groups.

Because of the heat, we decided to do family pictures at the church.

Pre-aisle moments are forever my favorite...

The nail-biting giddiness of the bouquet toss. Often the highlight of the wedding for girls this age.

Morgan caught the big girl bouquet. She marries my brother in February :)

Congrats again, Justin and Maryn! I loved being a part of your day!
